Good news for all Fans of the Intel Core 2 Duo architecture It was already leaking last year, that Intel plan to massively lower the prices for there Core2Duo Processors. Now its a fact!
They reduced the prices for selected modells up to 40%!
With the Core 2 Duo E4300, there is a new newcomer CPU, with all benefits of their big brothers.
Dual-Core technology, Shared Cache, low current consumption. Everything for less then EUR 100.- !!!
You only have to relinquish the virtualizing feature VT-x, and the FSB is lowered to 800MHz.
The most important price cuts are in the middle and high Price segment, though!
The Core 2 Quad Q6600 now costs $530 instead of $851 US-Dollar (-40%), and
the Core 2 Duo E6600 is reduced from $316 to $224 (-29%)
The big Core2Duo CPUs are now round down, by the new E6320 and E6420 CPUs.
These have, contrary to the old E6300 and E6400, now 4MB instead of 2MB Cache which should speed them up significantly; for the same price as the old 2MB versions!
All prices are net prime cost by Intel USA, with an order of 1000 units. |
